Thanks for coming!

Thanks to you, BBQ & Bluegrass at the Loveland Feed & Grain was an amazing success. Art was admired and sold, Bluegrass music floated through the air, and everyone had their fair share of amazing food. The party lasted well into the night, and many stayed until the last twinkle light had been turned off. We appreciate your participation and can't wait to see you again next year.

We Feel Amazed

This might be one of the most impressive feats of design ingenuity we've seen in a long time. We Feel Fine is an exploration of human emotion on a global scale. These geniuses have found a way to collect all the new blog posts containing the words "I feel" or "I am feeling" from all across the world. Information is captured (the sentence containing the feeling words, location, gender, age) and the site publishes them through a live feed. Not only is it innovative as far as communication and connection - but it looks fantastic. Our minds are blown. We think yours will be too.

Up for a Type Test?

If you've come to terms with your inner type-nerd, check out this fun little test. They've taken logos originally done in Helvetica and swapped it out for Arial (imagine horror movie screams). And we hate to say it, but as easy as you would think it would be to tell the two apart, some of these are tough. Good luck & enjoy!

Tiny Homes

Last night, I was watching a documentary on David McCullough, the two-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize. In the film he gave a tour of his writing studio, a tiny chantey nestled a distance from his house in a field. The studio was cozy and contained his essential items: a desk, a typewriter, a lamp, file drawers containing his research, and a bunch of books.

All I can say is I've gotta get me one of those.

It just so happens there is a blog all about tiny houses: chanteys, cabins, mid-century modern ones, and even little hobbit holes. In fact, there is a whole cult of tiny home enthusiasts and manufacturers. The above images are designs by Scott Rose, using Google Sketchup.

So, what would you want in your tiny home?

Dreams of Tenfold

Recently we had a friend and client who had a dream about us:

"You were looking for new office space in my father's neighborhood, so we all (Christopher, Josh, Matt, Amy, Sara, Tamara and I) hopped on the Tenfold bike — a huge red, canoe shaped rickshaw — and Christopher drove us down to look at a property next door to my dad's house. What was Josh doing while Christopher was pedaling and steering? Josh was pointing out all the interesting sights and landmarks and telling stories about the history of the area. As we toured the property, my grouchy evil step-mother showed up and tried to run us off. But my dad was very welcoming and offered us all some of his homemade micro-brewed beer. We sat out in the backyard, sipping brewskis on a hot summer afternoon, admiring the view of the lake and the sky until it was time to haul ourselves back on that crazy red bike. Yes, Christopher did the driving and the pedaling, again."

We all had a laugh at Tenfold upon the retelling of this dream. The funny part is the description of Christopher and Josh — it is strikingly true to life — Josh does all the talking while Christopher does all the behind-the-scenes work. We are definitely going to build that canoe-shaped rickshaw bike thing and watch out for evil step-mothers.
